Real Estate (Leased – Handover – Refusal – Rent)
If the landlord refuses to take back possession of the leased property with the intent of unjustly claiming future rent—despite the tenant having vacated the premises on the agreed date—then the landlord is not entitled to any further rent, as rent is only due in exchange for actual use and enjoyment of the property.
